Vacating: Every tenant must vacate the property by the expiration date on the lease agreement except for those who have signed a new lease for the same apartment. Those residents who are transferring to another apartment must move out at lease end, even though the new apartment will not yet be available. All keys must be returned to the office when vacating or the tenant or tenants who do not return their keys will be charged for having the lock changed. Failure to remove personal property by the expiration date of the lease will result in management having the items removed and billing the tenant for these services.
Final Inspection: Management will inspect the apartment at the end of the lease term. The tenant shall notify management when ready for the final inspection. The tenant representative is encouraged to be present during the final inspection to resolve any problems with damage to the apartment. If the tenant or tenant representative does not attend the final inspection, all parties agree to accept the evaluation of the condition of the property manager. The tenant shall complete the following prior to vacating unit and calling for the final inspection.
Remove all personal property and trash form the unit and leave the apartment clean; that is, swept up and free of damage. Your nonrefundable redecorating fee will cover normal cleaning, touch up painting and steam cleaning of carpets. Excessive dirt marks or holes in walls along with stains and burns in carpet and vinyl are considered damage and will be billed back to the resident as outlined in the Repair, Replacement, and Cleaning Schedule.
All furniture present when tenants moved in must be in place, clean, and in good condition.
Trash: Tenants should take all trash to the dumpsters. Any personal items or trash left in the unit, breezeway, or patio areas will be removed by maintenance and charged back to the tenants who are responsible. Please help us keep the community clean by placing all trash in the dumpsters provided.
